In death as in life, we all express ourselves uniquely and authentically. Our real-world expertise and funeral arranging experience means that we work with you to interpret and deliver how you want to honour and remember a loved one.
We’re changing the conversation around death and the way we celebrate the end of life with a new positivity. We believe that arranging a funeral should be an empowering and healing experience. Every person is unique. We are committed to creating the right experience to authentically honour and celebrate the richness of a person’s life. Whether orchestrating a grand public event to an intimate memorial service in the garden, each service is tailored to reflect the distinct personality and character of the individual. We strive for diversity that ensures no two experiences are alike.
We firmly believe that funerals serve not only to honor the departed, but also as an integral part of the living experience. As we commemorate a loved ones passing, we guide those left behind through their own distinctive journey of grief and the inevitable acceptance of death. By meticulously crafting intimate and personal moments, we aim to provide support and solace to the bereaved to enable that final goodbye. A tiny moment maker can transform into a cherished memory for the family, imparting a touch of uniqueness to an individual’s grieving process.
We are not your run of the mill funeral home. We are committed to changing the culture of death and dying through death education, providing personalised death care and supporting a community united in grief.
Over the past 100 years, our culture has sadly become more and more death phobic – we shy away from the natural aging process, conversations about death and dying, avoid end-of-life planning and focus on prolonging life at all costs. When we find the courage to lean into our death journey consciously and prepare ourselves spiritually, emotionally and mentally for our transition from this life, we know it is truly empowering.
No matter whether you are planning ahead or require immediate funeral services, our goal is to lessen the burden on Hawkes Bay families when they need us most.
A dedicated family care team is committed to be your guides. They are here to support you in making the right choices in line with your customs, personal wishes, unique requirements and budget.
As a funeral home, we understand that people have many and varied needs. We have tailored our services to provide the help and support our families may need, when they need it. We’ve helped hundreds of bereaved Hawkes Bay families, and it is through more than 140 years of experience, and our passion for caring, that we are now working with the third generation of many of our families. We know their return to us means we have their confidence and trust.
Knowing our community has helped us shape the diverse range of services we provide because we know what you need at some of the most diffcult times in a person’s life.
